Not So Dark And Twisty Socks

3.99 €

If you have a thing for cables, you will definitely enjoy this pattern, which looks way more complicated than it is.

The sock has a four strand braid across the top of the leg/foot, two twists along the sides and one twist along the back of the leg all the way down to the gusset heel.

That’s why this sock doesn’t even need a fancy speckled yarn to stand out!

The heel has a flap and a gusset, which makes it very easy to knit.

The length of the leg can be adjusted, since the cuff is elastic enough to fit around the ankle and the calf.

The twist along the back of the sock is a my favorite detail about this pattern.

The pattern is written for socks in the size 37 (US 6) but there are also instructions included on how to knit the socks in other sizes (EU 36-47).

You will however need to cast on 72 or 80 stitches! Keep in mind that cables tend to make socks a lot narrower, that’s why I casted on 72 stitches on 2.5 mm needles instead of my usual 60 stitches.

You will need about 100 g of 4-ply sock yarn to knit these socks. The instructions are written for DPNs (2.5 mm) and a cable needle, but you can also knit the socks using the Magic Loop technique.

The pattern includes step-by-step instructions for the gusset heel and toe shape and also charts for the cables.

Be aware: this is a digital product! You won’t receive a printed version of this pattern, just the digital version in pdf format, that you can read on your computer using a pdf reading software.
