About our Yarn
Colors
We try to make the skeins within the same colorway as similar as possible but as with all handmade products, no two skeins of yarn are the same.
This means that every skein of yarn that leaves our shop is unique ♥ and special, but it also means that recreating the same colorway is not always possible. So if you need more yarn than what is available in the shop, please contact me so that I can dye it all up in one batch.
Hand dyed yarn is prone to “pooling“. If you don’t like the effect of one color concentrating in one area, you should consider switching between two different skeins of yarn after each row/round to even the colors out.
Colorways that have shades of brown, olive or beige tones in them might also have small splashes of blue, red etc in them. That is due to the fact that brown/olive dye is mixed from a lot of different colors and it is something that can’t be avoided.
Washing
Our sock yarns are all superwash. However we would advise you to hand wash the yarn to keep the colors vibrant as long as possible. We wash and rinse our yarns thoroughly after dyeing but we would still recommend that you wash the yarn seperate from your other laundry when you first receive it.
